It’s time for a test…..I know, I know. No one likes to take tests but bear with me. Answer yes or no:

  1. Women should be economically and socially independent. They shouldn’t rely on men to take care of them.
  1. There is no such thing as a “male’s job”. It is wrong for men to be given preference for any job position, even if women traditionally aren’t in that field.
  1. Women should take an equal role in dating. Women should ask out men they are interested in and take their turn in paying.
  1. Women should have the right to choose any path in life — from being a stay-at-home mom to a Fortune 500 CEO.
  1. Women should be encouraged to pursue education as much as men are.

The test can go on and on. Do any of these hit you like, “well of course she should be able to do this and MORE”.
Definition of Feminism: belief in social, political, and economic equality of the sexes and the movement organized around this belief.
I would like for you to consider what your real thoughts are on feminism. Take to heart the questions (you can find many more questions/tests on the internet) you just answered.
You can be a feminist and be married. You can be single, you can have kids, You can take your partner’s last name, you can keep your last name, you can breastfeed or formula feed, you can work outside the home or stay at home with your kids.
Did this really all start in the 60s and we’re all just blowing this out of proportion? Are equal pay and equal rights really all it’s about?  Let’s go back to Bible times. The Gnostics believed that Eve dominated Adam and the sexual roles were totally altered. They looked to Luminous Epinoia (or Divine Eve) as their deity.  Satan has always tried to tear up God’s moral order in the world, and attacking the family, of course does damage that can and does last for generations.  Destroy God’s created order; destroy the integrity of Scripture; destroy the character of God; destroy the name of Christ—that is the goal.
This is the driving force behind today’s radical feminist movement. It’s not some whimsical notion that popped up in the 20th century by a few women who wanted to take off their aprons and buy a briefcase. This is not that!
Now jump to the 20th century. Listen to the planning and manipulation that Lenin put forth in trying to replace the Christian family with a “new family”:
We must now say proudly and without any exaggeration that apart from Soviet Russia, there is not a country in the world where women enjoy full equality and where women are not placed in the humiliating position felt particularly in day-to-day family life. This is one of our first and most important tasks…Housework is the most unproductive, the most barbarous and the most arduous work a woman can do. It is exceptionally petty and does not include anything that would in any way promote the development of the woman….The building of socialism will begin only when we have achieved the complete equality of women and when we undertake the new work together with women who have been emancipated from that petty stultifying, unproductive work.
In his 1920 International Working Woman’s Day Speech, Lenin emphasized:
“The chief thing is to get women to take part in socially productive labor, to liberate them from ‘domestic slavery,’ to free them from their stupefying (idiotic) and humiliating subjugation to the eternal drudgery of the kitchen and the nursery. This struggle will be a long one, and it demands a radical reconstruction, both of social technique and of morale. But it will end in the complete triumph of Communism.”
Marxist men had a vision of what they called the “new family” and it could only be accomplished by overthrowing Christianity by destroying the biblical family model (i.e.: male headship and hierarchy within the family).
As Christians, this should give you chills. Between the Gnostic belief and the Marxist belief, God is being attacked. There is a much bigger agenda happening that should stop you in your tracks and have you consider; “WHY do I believe what I believe about feminism?” I’ll ask you again. Do you find any of these teachings as “normal” in your mind? We live in a society where women are ridiculed for being stay-at-home wives and moms. Even in the church, you will find people who persecute a family that believes in raising daughters to be stay-at-home wives and moms. Have you ever asked a young woman, “which college are you going to” and feeling judgmental when she says “I’m staying home to learn more about becoming a wife and mother”.
Most important of all, what does the Bible have to say on the subject?
Let’s look at Genesis 3 after the fall; God cursed woman and man. Verse 16 says: To the woman He said, “I will multiply your pain in childbirth, in pain you will bring forth children; yet your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
And in the cursing, the curse obviously found its way into the marriage. And in a marriage you have a woman who desires to rule. Typically fallen women want to take charge. And that’s why there is marital conflict. It all started in Genesis 3 with the curse.
In verse 17-19 for the man it says, Cursed is the ground because of you; in toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; and you will eat the plants of the field; by the sweat of your face you will eat bread, till you return to the ground, because from it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
Think of it this way: The woman gets a double curse from God when she has the pain in childbirth and THEN she becomes the bread winner and has to get it by the sweat of her brow. That was HIS curse, not for her!
Titus 2 states it very clearly what our God given roles are: “love your husband, love your children, and to work at home.” The older women still have a major role after their children are older in being able to pass on the wisdom on how best to achieve this in our homes.
I Tim 5:14, the phrase “guide the house” is the Greek word oikodespoteo. It’s a combination word that means “home, household, family” and “master or ruler”. Women are to be the ruler of your house. Not manage your husband, but take dominion over the domestic affairs of your household. God gives us the responsibility to manage our home and keep it in order.
Why do you believe what you believe??? Please consider the roots of feminism and how it destroys God’s plan for life and how to have it more abundantly.
God wants His kingdom to spread throughout the earth. He wants His glory, His love, His truth, His peace and His salvation to touch all people. As we take dominion over our homes, as we make them sanctuaries for training godly children and places for God’s glory, we will see God’s kingdom spread.
