With Thanksgiving just a few days away, we won’t be posting or writing too much as we’ll be taking the rest of the week off to spend time with family and thank God for the gifts He’s given us. Thanksgiving is my favorite of all the holidays precisely because of its emphasis on God and the family and close friends He’s blessed us with. With that in mind, here are a few of the things I’m thankful for at this time of reflection and gratitude.
I’m thankful for…
- Online ministries like Strong Church, the new Start2Finish network, Radically Christian, and so many others who are advancing the Gospel and helping people think about their relationships with God.
-
Friends in ministry who have so many great ideas for efforts to help spread the Gospel and help Christians grow. We’ve got some really, really exciting things coming with the new year (Lord willing) and I’m very thankful for the opportunity I have to be a part of these things.
-
(Of course,) God’s love for us that caused Him to send Jesus to die for our sins (John 3:16), and the church He established to give us a family with Jesus as the head.
-
The congregation I work with at Pritchett for their love, service, and dedication that are a reminder of what a Christian family looks like all around the world and what our fellowship in heaven will be like some day.
-
My worldwide family of Christians with whom we’re able to connect through so many great new technologies.
-
My earthly family and the dedication my parents and siblings have to the Gospel and to helping each other glorify God.
-
Families who helped my family by setting a Christ-like example of what God-fearing parents and obedient children look like, and to families in the next generation who are continually working to conform themselves to God’s Word.

For each of you who follow us at Focus Press through our social media sites, Think Magazine, and the blog here. Thank you for your support, your comments, your likes, and your shares. I’m especially excited about what the blog has brought to our work this year. We’ve really grown and added a great tool in our efforts to connect with Christians and those striving to grow more like Christ, and a great deal of that is owed to each of you who have helped spread the word about the work we’re doing. Thanks for reading and for keeping us going with your encouragement and support.
May God bless each of you, and may you all enjoy a great time of giving thanks to God and to those who mean the most to you this week!
