\nRecently\u00a0I began the discussion of how the liberal left are aggressively trying to change the way we use words and their\u00a0definition to remove God from every aspect of our lives.\u00a0The biggest example of how they do this is when they teach our children in the public schools and in every television show and movie\u2013\u2013that science and God are incompatible. That to accept there is a God is to reject science and if you accept science, you must then reject God.\u00a0We have dealt with the science versus God delusion previously, but they are also using another word in the same context: \u201creason.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\nIn March 2012, a group of about 20,000 atheists assembled at our nation\u2019s capital for an event they coined \u201cReason Rally.\u201d\u00a0You may even recognize many of the headline speakers that included Adam Savage (from Discovery Channel\u2019s\u00a0\u201cMythbusters\u201d), Richard Dawkins (author of multiple books including\u00a0The God Delusion<\/i>),\u00a0Senator\u00a0Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) and\u00a0Congressman\u00a0Pete Start (D-California).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\nIf you were to listen close to what they are teaching you will find that they use the words\u00a0science<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0reason<\/i>\u00a0as the antithesis of believing in God.\u00a0They\u00a0want to\u00a0teach us that the existence of God is unreasonable.\u00a0They profess\u00a0the\u00a0Bible and\u00a0the teachings of Christ\u00a0are also\u00a0wholly unreasonable.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\nSo let\u2019s discuss how unreasonable the\u00a0Bible really is.\u00a0After all, I believe it is God who created us with the ability to use reason.\u00a0He gave us the ability to exercise free will and minds\u00a0that\u00a0are\u00a0aware of our own existence.\u00a0He gave us minds\u00a0that seek to understand the meaning of life.\u00a0So let\u2019s use this God-given ability to put God\u2019s\u00a0own\u00a0Word to the \u201creason\u201d test.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\nFirst, we need to assume that every single person adheres\u00a0to the teachings of the\u00a0Bible.\u00a0<\/span>
\nThe Bible\u00a0teaches\u00a0do not\u00a0commit\u00a0adultery or\u00a0fornication.\u00a0<\/span>
\nResult: Sexually\u00a0transmitted\u00a0diseases\u00a0and the\u00a0AIDS epidemic\u00a0would be completely eradicated or never would have existed to begin with.\u00a0Marriages would remain monogamous\u00a0till\u00a0death.\u00a0No children would be born out of wedlock (with the exception of\u00a0the\u00a0natural death of a parent).\u00a0<\/span>
\nThe Bible\u00a0teaches\u00a0do not\u00a0lie,\u00a0cheat or\u00a0steal.\u00a0<\/span>
\nResult:\u00a0Imagine a world where we were always honest;\u00a0everyone you meet would always be truthful; there would be no need for a lock and key to protect that which we held valuable.\u00a0Everyone would be trustworthy in\u00a0all<\/b>\u00a0things.\u00a0<\/span>
\nThe Bible\u00a0teaches\u00a0\u00a0do\u00a0not be\u00a0greedy or full of\u00a0envy.\u00a0<\/span>
\nResult: Both\u00a0greed and\u00a0envy begin as thoughts in our mind,\u00a0thoughts that can lead to lying, cheating,\u00a0or stealing from others.\u00a0Therefore, I cannot think of a war that would have existed without\u00a0greed or\u00a0envy at the root.\u00a0<\/span>
\nMust we continue? We\u00a0have just taken a few basic teachings from the\u00a0Bible,\u00a0and if all mankind\u00a0lived by these teachings,\u00a0we\u00a0have\u00a0just\u00a0eliminated all sorts of diseases\u00a0and\u00a0given almost every child a loving home with both a mother and father who will be married till death.\u00a0We have simply eliminated\u00a0the need for anyone to protect their\u00a0possessions\u00a0and ended all wars\u00a0that ever have been or could ever be.\u00a0<\/span>
\nThese are powerful thoughts! But at the core of this power of \u201creason\u201d lies one last truth that the\u00a0Bible teaches\u2026.\u00a0Mankind is not perfect! We will steal.\u00a0We will cheat.\u00a0We will commit adultery.\u00a0We will have greed and envy in our heart.\u00a0So God has provided us with what could only be seen as His ultimate act of\u00a0reason\u2013\u2013to provide us a way to seek redemption from all these evils that we commit.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
\nGod\u2019s\u00a0Word is quite reasonable.\u00a0In fact, it perfectly examines the human condition we all find ourselves in.\u00a0When we commit these sins outlined above, we will have pain and suffering.\u00a0We will harm one another through theft and murder.\u00a0But when we come to that understanding that we are not perfect, that we need redemption,\u00a0then\u00a0we can understand God\u2019s reason for His Son.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
